Vivid effect is a reddened coral. I could still see some slight imperfections and my nail line a little at three coats which was a serious bummer. It's a gorgeous colour but it does seem to be sheer. You could wear it sheer I suppose, but it's not intended for that. Maybe with a polish underneath that evens my nails out it would be better.
