Nails Inc The Strand Star Magnetic Polish swatches

Afternoon guys. It's actually sunny here atm, which is really bizarre cos at least the past two months it's been raining. Heavy. With lots of flooding.

So, Nails Inc just brought out some more magnetic polishes, star designs this time. I loved their first lot of magnetics as they were a brand new thing to me. The fishnet ones, for me personally, were a bit...well, shite. But, these star magnetic ones are amazing. Well, the one I have at least. I didn't bother with the other two as I have purple and green magnetic polishes already. I do also have blues, but I'm glad I grabbed it as this blue is just a bit more sexy than the others I own.

The Strand is a gorgeous, vibrant metallic navy. As with all magnetics, I pop down a layer of colour, wait for it to dry, then go in with another coat and the magnet. I love the star design for a start, but I also love how when the pattern is formed, the polish almost turns black. That's a really bad description. You'll see what I mean!

Part of me wishes Nails Inc would just start releasing magnets rather than polishes. I mean although I love this polish and I think it's the nicest magnetic blue I own, I did already have some, so I've essentially blown £13 on a magnet. At least this one actually produces a design on my long, wide nails (looking at you Fishnets...).

My favourite combo's #1 - Nails Inc Baker Street and Royal Arcade

So I figured every now and then I'd do a post about my favourite polish combo's, starting with Baker Street and Royal Arcade. I have a feeling most people would layer this awesome glitter over blacks or very dark colours - I love it over this cobalt blue. It doesn't look it in pics, but it is SO sparkly in real life. Please ignore the tip wear and the chip - I'd had this on for a few days and because I'm decorating I haven't necessarily been careful with my nails haha. Oh, and ignore the deodorant can too, I needed something big enough to show my thumb (which looks really scary actually!)

Crackles have pretty much been done to death now, and it's not often I come across one that makes me go "ooooh" anymore. I was hoping this one would do the trick, but...meh.

Bleh...(and a bit of bunny spam)

So, I got most of my organising done, most of my room is painted white and I'm almost ready to fully redecorate...then I catch a cold, which has turned into tonsillitus, and I'm screwed. Seriously, even my arse cheeks hurt! How the heck can my arse cheeks hurt? And holy crap I spent last night sleeping in a pool of my own sweat. Argh...

So, decorating is on hold til I feel confident enough I won't spill a tub of paint or stab myself with a scraper, and of course when my arse isn't killing me. So hopefully I'll be able to get some swatches up in the next few days :D I spent today moping around in bed, listening to the random thunderstorm we had and playing Skyrim. Not very productive.

On a side note - has anyone else ever come down with a cold/flu/whatever and had their bum cheeks hurt before? I need to know I'm not weird haha


And so this isn't a total waste - bunny spam! This is when I was cleaning out their hutch. They think they're helping by running up and down whilst I'm disinfecting!

Just a heads up...

I'm currently going through a phase of "I have too much junk and I need to get rid of it" as well as redecorating and attempting to properly organise (HA!) all my makeup and polish, so I probably won't be posting as much as usual. On the plus side, once I have everything sorted I'll be swatching all my polishes and popping them up here! On my last count I had around 420 polishes. It's still not enough!!!!

So yeah, may be a little quiet, but I'll still try and get a post up on here every few days.

For now, here's a pic of my other obsession...my gorgeous bunnies!! Izzy is the grey/brown and Bunbun (yeah, I know!) is the white/brown/black. Love these naughty little ladies more than anything!
